The Howard Park Civic Association, along with the Northwest Development Roundtable and local businesses and citizens is working  to organize a meeting, where a few forward thinking community leaders and stakeholders can craft plans that may help us move beyond our current crisis.

x  24 people of all ages gathered in the cafeteria at Calvin Rodwell Elementary School yesterday morning to make rain barrels for residential use. Roof water captured by rain barrels provides a economical way to water gardens during the summer months and also helps protects the Gwynns Falls watershed, and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay, from pollutants contained in storm water run-off.
